“Mold Brought by Santa This Christmas”
Living on the coast this year was interesting. While out inpecting for mold, I noticed the coastal fog roll in and never leave. The water was so cold that I did not boogie board one time. Summer was cancelled this year in San Diego. Santa had taken it away.
It rained a lot and plants stayed very green. The drought was over. Artificial grass companies went out of business and you found yourself calling the gardener to mow a little bit too often. You probably saw some green or brown substances starting to grow on the north side of your property in the shade. I saw green mold growing on some stonework in the shady side of my house. This was nothing to be alarmed about. This just looked out of place.
2010 was also the year of the foreclosure. Prices fell, homes were foreclosed, and the same for sale signs popped up in the neighborhood. These bank owned and slow sellers become mold incubators. The unfixed leaks and delayed maintenance created perfect places for mold to start growing. Please take this into consideration as you’re out there looking for a new place to buy or rent.
I did not hear on real estate agent talk of “forclosure brown” Grass outside meant mold inside the home Just mold growing like it always does. You may have some increased mildew, mold under the sink, or some black substance around a leaky window.
Christmas is upon us and it is raining again. Nothing new, here, just an extension of a full year of colder than normal weather with increased rainfall. Santa is giving mold for Christmas this year. Something that can affect your buying a foreclosed or bank owned property. Something that can cause you lots of problems and money…. mold.
These moldy presents are to be found in attics, bathrooms, cellars and other areas with leaks or low ventilation. Mold can become gift-wrapping on the sheetrock on your walls. Mold can affect your health and create allergic reactions. Make sure to get it inspected if you even think you have a problem. Make sure you call Mold Clear San Diego. They will help you fight this musty invader.
Moldy Christmas Everybody.
